Inspired by my lifelong love of horses and probably one of the most well-known good luck symbols worldwide. As a Celtic tradition horseshoes jewellery was used to ward off mischievous fairies. In the past Sailors would nail a horseshoe to the mast with points upwards to catch good luck to help avoid bad weather and disaster. Fishermen were also known to nail a shoe with points facing down so luck would fall into their nets.
